Saturday night, July 13, 2019 marked the first time a Christian band performed all faith-based music at Alva's Showroom, one of the premier performance venues in the South Bay. "King David's Band" which features a Gospel Reggae style of music, has been a popular Orange County band since 2014, and was well received in 2018 when they performed at Light at the Lighthouse Festival at Pt. Fermin Park. After their 90-minute set, there were many positive comments overheard from the audience as well as staff at Alva's Showroom, which hosts many notable musicians from the LA and touring music scene. If you missed King David's Band at Alva's, you can catch them in the next couple of weeks at the Orange County Fair, and at the Village of Hope in Tustin. Matt Lincir, owner of Alva's Music Store and Showroom which has been a faithful corporate sponsor for Light at the Lighthouse Festival commented after the performance that he would be happy to host other Christian bands in the future. Mark your calendars for October 12th, 2019, for the next LIGHT AT THE LIGHTHOUSE FESTIVAL at Pt Fermin Park, where you can enjoy "the Best Family Festival in the South Bay" and hear some of the best bands in Southern California, including internationally famous CHRISTAFARI.
